E-QUAL is committed to protecting any personal or sensitive1 information you provide us with, and therefore complying with the Australian Privacy Principles contained in the Privacy Act 1988 (Commonwealth).
E-QUAL is regularly contracted by government and non-government service providers to collect consumer, customer and community feedback. In order to do this work, E-QUAL often needs to get information about individuals either directly from the individual or from the service provider with the individual's consent. This information generally includes:
- Name and contact details
- Opinions
- The services people use
E-QUAL typically uses this information to prepare a report. Individual names do not appear in these reports, and any information that can identify someone will only be reported with the individual's consent.
E-QUAL does not share individual's contact details with any other person or agency without the individual's consent.
Different contracts may have additional privacy requirements. E-QUAL will provide relevant information to the people involved as needed.

Sensitive information - Includes information about the health or disability of an individual.
Personal information - Any information or opinion which can identify the individual.
